A video showing a gay Egyptian wedding went viral the past couple of days, but what's more troubling was the fact that Egyptian authorities have ordered the arrest of the guys who appeared in it. The video caused quite a stir because Egypt has no tolerance for homosexuality. In the past, authorities have arrested and charged gay men of immorality, debauchery and blasphemy.

The party reportedly took place sometime in April but only went viral in August and September. The online reaction prompted the police to take action, make arrests, and carry out physical examinations.
Homosexuality is not exactly outlawed by Egyptian law but it can be punishable under other offenses that violate "morality."
UPDATE:
As of this writing, Egyptian authorities have reportedly examined nine (9) of the men involved in the wedding video. They have all tested "negative for homosexuality." Specific details as to how these tests were conducted were not revealed, but they are allegedly "anal" in nature.
According to the Washington Post:
"Egypt has conducted homosexuality tests for years, and they have been frequently criticized. In 2004, Health and Human Rights journal published a report that said the procedures, based on anal examinations, were a form of 'a form of torture' and based on 'a 19th century medical mythology.''
They are now saying that the video was just made as a "joke" between friends. They supposedly involved two straight guys who exchanged rings to make the party more fun.
