Jimmy Kimmel did this segment on his show called "Lie Witness News" where he had a team go to a NYC Fashion Week and interview fashionistas and "fashion aficionados." The questions were about designers and trends that do not exist!
It's hilarious how these "fashion experts" gave out their opinions and recommendations! Confidently and without even batting an eyelash! I love the one about Chandler Bing (you know, that seemingly gay guy from Friends), Antonin Scalia (and his "kimono look"), Phil Robertson (the name really says it all), and the amazing headless dress!!
Seriously though, I really hate posers. I mean it's one thing to pretend to know certain things so you won't look stupid, but you have to make sure that you won't look even more pathetic because of the things that you are saying! There is no shame in admitting that you do not know something; this kind of honesty would be better received over a lie that makes you look like a pathetic loser.
Just be yourself, and be the real deal. You will gain more love and respect that way.
In retrospect, these interviews seem scripted. The responses were ridiculously flawless, and the persons interviewed didn't even seem fazed. But if these interviews were not staged, then I guess they really deserve the kind of attention that this viral video has given them.
