Producers of Magic Mike XXL have placed want ads in Georgia for extras who will be part of the audience of a strip club. The would be "strippers" include big stars Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer ad Joe Manganiello, as well as new finds Nick the Gardener and tWitch. Women came, but would you believe that the shoot was so hot that some of them had to abruptly quit their jobs?
Casting directors reportedly added a Facebook post (now deleted) explaining what had happened:
For tomorrow – casting African American, Hispanic and Asian women to play strip club patrons. DO NOT SUBMIT if you are not comfortable around nudity and acts of a sexual nature. (Seriously… we warn you guys like a bazillion times and we had three women leave this morning. Girl.) Must be available all day long. Working in Savannah.
For Friday and possibly Monday (they are going to try to finish the entire scene on Friday… but you must also be available Monday) – casting African American, Hispanic and Asian MEN to play strip club patrons. DO NOT SUBMIT if you are not comfortable around nudity and acts of a sexual nature.
First of all, WTF? What did these 3 ladies think they were signing up for?
If you ask me, it was a waste of a perfectly good opportunity. I would probably pay good money just to be part of that cast, even as an extra.
