Singer "Holysiz" released this video called "The Light," and it's about a family "dealing" with having a transgender child. It shows how the child copes with having to endure the judgmental stares and bullying of other people, and how an unaccepting father can make things intolerable. It also features the strong love of a mother, and how she goes against everyone just to see her child happy.
It was a tough journey for the family, yes even for the father. While he appears to be the "villain" at first, I can totally understand why he would want something "normal" for his family. Normal, however, does not equate to happiness. And he finds out in the end that the happiness of his child should be given more importance.
And what he does to make his child smile? Priceless.
